Aufgabe:
* Teach classes on multilingual computational linguistics (5 contact teaching hours per week during the semester). * Conduct research on relevant topics of multilingual computational linguistics, with a special focus in psycholinguistics, cognitive science, computational linguistics, linguistic typology or historical linguistics. * Assist the chair in building its teaching portfolio. * Assist and supervise colleagues at the chair and other collaborating chairs on matters of research (organise workshops, train up student assistants).Qualifikation:
* Must have a doctorate in computer science, computational linguistics or general linguistics/comparative linguistics as well as extended knowledge in empirical research with a focus on cross-linguistic approaches. * Must be ready and willing to advise students and colleagues from the University of Passau and from other collaborating institutions on programming questions and to organise regular courses for students and colleagues at the University. * Good programming skills, specifically in Python, would be a distinct advantage.
