To strengthen our team in Winnenden as soon as possible, we are looking for a
Head (m/f/d) of Transportation
Your role
- Manage our transportation service providers and take responsibility for contract management (negotiation of tariffs, bonus/malus programs, duration and SLAs), the identification of efficiency gains via managing continuous improvement programs as well as for KPI management
- Take charge of all processes related to inbound freight (sea, air, truck), outbound freight (B2B and B2C – pallet, parcel, express), carrier management (costs, budget, services etc.), budget build and transportation P&L as well as to performance and cost reporting
- Support invoice control and documentation as well as claims management
- Assist sales business units to find delivery solutions for customer/consignee requests
- Participate in the implementation of X-docking models, in the identification of new routes as well as in improvement programs
- Contribute to customizations
- Lead projects in your area of responsibility
- Provide support to the opening/transfer of distribution centres
Your profile
- Completed studies in logistics, supply chain, business administration or similar
- Solid previous experience in transportation management areas as well as in process improvement and change management
- Knowledge of project management from identification of gaps to delivery of the solutions
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel
- Good analytical, planning and problem-solving skills along with staff management and motivational skills
- Good communication and presentation skills, a good command of English both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel across Europe (5 – 6 days per month)
